A reading plan

Start here.

New to these texts? This is the gentlest way in — a path that starts with the heart and ends at the beginning.

Why this order?

Most people open to page one and give up by chapter twenty.

So don’t start there. Begin with the Psalms — raw human feeling. Then Proverbs for how to live, and Ecclesiastes for what it all means; read a little of each side by side. Then meet the figure who reframed everything in the Gospels, follow the movement he left behind, and end with its vision of how the story closes. Only then go back to Genesis — the beginning — and read how it all started.
