1And God remembered Noach (Noah) and all the living thing and all the livestock which were with him in the tebah, and God caused a wind/spirit to pass over the land, and the waters subsided. 2And the fountains of the deep and the windows of the sky were stopped, and the rain from the sky was restrained. 3And the waters returned from upon the land, going and returning, and the waters diminished at the end of one hundred and fifty days. 4And the tebah rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. 5And the waters were going and diminishing until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first of the month, the tops of the mountains appeared.
6And it was at the end of forty days, and Noah opened the window of the tebah which he had made. 7And he sent out the raven, and it went out, going out and returning, until the waters dried from upon the land. 8And he sent out the dove from with him, to see whether the waters had eased from upon the face of the ground. 9And the dove did not find a resting place for the sole of her foot, and she returned to him to the tebah, for waters were on the face of all the land; and he put out his hand and took her and brought her to him into the tebah. 10And he waited yet seven more days, and again he sent out the dove from the tebah. 11And the dove came to him at evening time, and see, a freshly plucked olive leaf was in her mouth; and Noah knew that the waters had eased from upon the land. 12And he waited yet seven more days, and he sent out the dove, and she did not return to him again.
13And it was in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the waters dried from upon the land; and Noah removed the covering of the tebah and looked, and see, the face of the ground had dried. 14And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the land was dry.
15And God spoke to Noah, saying, 16"Go out from the tebah, you and your woman and your sons and the women of your sons with you. 17Every living thing which is with you from all flesh — the bird and the livestock and every creeping thing that creeps upon the land — bring out with you, and they shall swarm on the land, and be fruitful and multiply upon the land." 18And Noah went out, and his sons and his woman and the women of his sons with him. 19Every living thing, every creeping thing and every bird, everything that moves upon the land, to their families they went out from the tebah.
20And Noah built an altar to YHWH, and he took from every clean livestock and from every clean bird, and he offered up burnt offerings on the altar. 21And YHWH smelled the pleasing aroma, and YHWH said in his heart, "I will not again curse the ground on account of the human, for the inclination of the heart of the human is evil from his youth; and I will not again strike every living thing as I have done. 22While yet all the days of the land, seed-time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."
